Laundry Chemicals

Professional detergents and hygiene products for industrial use, matched to your fabrics, your water and your machines.

The right chemistry for your textiles

Detergent choice decides both the wash result and how long the fabric survives. We match products to your fabrics, water hardness and wash programmes, and adjust dosing as those change.

Laundry Chemicals, in practice

Chemistry is a system, not a product

Buying detergent by the drum solves nothing on its own. What produces a clean, undamaged textile is the interaction of four things — chemical action, temperature, mechanical action and time — matched to your water. Change one and the others have to move. That is why we supply chemicals as a specified system with dosing equipment and programme settings, not as a price per litre.

Water is the variable most people skip. Much of Romagna runs hard water, and hardness quietly steals detergent performance, greys white linen over months and scales heating elements. Testing it takes ten minutes and changes the whole formulation.

What we supply

Alkaline builders and main-wash detergents for cotton and blends. Surfactant boosters for heavily soiled kitchen and table linen. Oxygen and chlorine bleaches, used where the fabric can take them. Enzymatic pre-treatments for protein and starch soil. Emulsifiers for oil and grease. Sours and neutralisers to bring the pH back down so residue does not sit in the fibre against skin. Softeners and finishing agents, including those that keep terry absorbent rather than coating it. Disinfectants validated for thermal and chemo-thermal disinfection where healthcare textiles require it. Descalers and machine hygiene products.

Automatic dosing

Manual dosing is the most expensive habit in a laundry: too much wastes product and leaves residue, too little means a rewash. We install peristaltic and diaphragm dosing systems connected to the machine programmes, so each formula receives exactly what it was designed for at exactly the right stage. Dosing is calibrated at commissioning and re-checked at every service visit.

The systems log consumption, which turns detergent from an unpredictable expense into a cost per kilogram you can actually forecast.

Hygiene and documentation

For healthcare, elderly care and food service, what matters is not only that textiles are clean but that you can show how. The European framework is UNI EN 14065, which describes RABC — risk analysis and biocontamination control. Practically: identify where contamination enters, control those points, and record the controls. We supply the chemical side of that — validated disinfection formulas, documented dosing, and the data sheets and safety documentation an auditor will ask for.

Training and support

Every installation includes training for the people who use it, and a laminated programme chart that stays on the wall. We re-check dosing whenever your textiles, water or machines change, and we will tell you when a cheaper product would do the same job — we are not paid by the litre.

Works with the rest of the operation

Chemicals, machines and programmes are one system. If you are buying laundry equipment, the chemistry should be specified at the same time; if we already service your machines, dosing calibration is part of every visit. And if you would rather not run any of it yourself, our industrial laundry service does it for you.

Questions

About laundry chemicals

Why does water hardness matter?

Much of Romagna runs hard water, and hardness quietly steals detergent performance, greys white linen over months and scales heating elements. Testing it takes ten minutes and changes the whole formulation.

It is the variable most operators skip, and the one that explains most cases of linen that goes dull faster than it should.

Do we need automatic dosing?

Manual dosing is the most expensive habit in a laundry: too much wastes product and leaves residue against skin, too little means a rewash. Automatic systems deliver exactly what each programme was designed for at the right stage, and they log consumption — which turns detergent from an unpredictable expense into a cost per kilogram you can forecast.

Can you supply validated disinfection chemistry?

Yes, for both thermal and chemo-thermal disinfection, with the data sheets and safety documentation an auditor will ask for. The framework is UNI EN 14065 and its RABC methodology: identify where contamination enters, control those points, record the control.

Are we tied to one product range?

No. We specify what suits your water, fabrics and machines, and we will tell you when a cheaper product does the same job. We are not paid by the litre.
