Laundry for restaurants, in practice

Table linen is the hardest thing in the building to wash

A restaurant sends out textiles carrying red wine, olive oil, tomato, coffee, candle wax and butter — often all on the same cloth, and usually left overnight. That is a genuinely difficult wash, and it is where most general laundries quietly give up and return the linen with a shadow on it. Once a tablecloth is greyed or spotted it is finished, because a guest sitting at a table looks at it for two hours.

Our restaurant programme runs a pre-treatment stage, then an emulsifying main wash designed for fat and oil, then a controlled bleach step where the fabric permits, then a sour to bring the pH back down. The result is white that stays white through many more cycles than a general wash gives you.

What we handle

Tablecloths, overlays, runners and napkins in cotton and easy-care blends, white and coloured. Chef whites, jackets, trousers, aprons and caps. Kitchen cloths and service towels. Bar textiles. For properties with rooms attached, bed linen and terry go on the same contract under our industrial laundry service.

Finishing matters as much as washing here. Cloths are pressed and folded so they drop onto the table with the crease where it should be, which is the difference between a set table and a made bed.

Volumes and cost

A restaurant typically generates 0.3 to 0.4 kg of linen per cover served, depending on whether you use cloth napkins, an overlay, or both. A hundred covers a day is therefore around 35 kg a day — roughly a tonne a month. Restaurant table linen sits at an indicative €1.40 to €1.85 per kilogram, higher than hotel bed linen because of the soil level and the finishing.

Priced per cover, that is a small number. Priced against replacing greyed tablecloths every season, it is a much better one.

Rent or own?

Restaurants are the clearest case for rental. Table linen wears out faster than any other commercial textile, colours and sizes change when the concept changes, and every restaurant needs more stock in August than in November. Renting means a fixed rate per piece delivered, replacement included, and no store room full of cloths in a size you stopped using.

Where the linen is part of the identity — a specific colour, a woven edge, an embroidered mark — owning makes sense, and we launder owned stock on the same schedule.

Hygiene and HACCP

Kitchen textiles are food-contact adjacent, and an HACCP audit will ask how they are handled. We keep clean and soiled sides of the plant physically separated, run validated wash temperatures, wrap finished batches before dispatch and keep the batch records. If your consultant asks for documentation, it exists.

Collection that fits service

Collection happens outside service hours on fixed days, with a turnaround of 48 hours as standard. For high-volume properties in Rimini, Riccione and Cattolica we run more frequent routes through the summer. Ask for a free survey and a written quote follows within 24 working hours.

Our commitments

What you can hold us to

We opened in 2026, so we cannot point at twenty years of client logos. What we can do is put the terms in writing and be judged on them from the first collection.

01

Rewashed free, no argument

If a batch comes back with a stain that should have gone, we collect it, reprocess it and return it at our cost. You do not pay twice for the same kilogram.

02

Collection days that hold

Days are fixed when the contract starts and stay fixed through the season. If a route is ever going to be late, you hear it from us before you notice it yourself.

03

Worn linen reported, not returned

Items past their service life are pulled at inspection and listed for you monthly, so replacement is a budget line rather than a complaint at reception.

04

One named contact

A person who knows your property, your par levels and your peak weeks — reachable directly, not through a ticket queue.

05

Every batch documented

Contents, programme, temperature held and dosing delivered, recorded per batch and available to you. What an HACCP or healthcare audit asks for already exists.

06

Leave when you want to

No lock-in period and no exit penalty. A laundry contract should be kept by performance, and we would rather find out early if we are not earning it.

How can I request a consultation or partnership?

Contact our team by phone, email or through the form on this site. We will discuss your business needs and recommend the most suitable laundry solution for your operation.

How much does industrial laundry cost per kilogram?

Commercial laundry in Italy is priced per kilogram of clean, dry textile. As an indication for the Rimini and Riccione area: hotel bed linen and terry €1.15–1.45/kg, restaurant table linen €1.40–1.85/kg, healthcare textiles €1.50–1.95/kg. Four things move the figure inside those ranges — volume, collection frequency, soil level and distance from the plant.

The number worth budgeting against is cost per occupied room or per cover, not per kilogram. We work that out during the free on-site survey, and the written quote is built around it.

What is your turnaround time?

Standard turnaround is 24 to 48 hours: linen collected in the morning returns on the next scheduled delivery. Collection days are fixed when the contract starts and do not move through the season.

If a property regularly needs same-day return, tell us during the survey — it usually means the circulating stock is too thin rather than that the laundry is too slow, and adding a par is cheaper than paying for express processing.

What happens if linen comes back stained or damaged?

Batches are inspected under controlled light before they are wrapped, so items with surviving stains go back for re-treatment rather than out to a guest room. If something reaches you that should not have, we collect it, reprocess it and return it at our cost.

Items that are worn, thinning or torn are pulled at inspection and listed for you monthly, so replacement becomes a budget line rather than a complaint at reception.

How do I switch from my current laundry?

It is more routine than it looks. We survey the property and count the existing stock, agree collection days and par levels, run the first two weeks in parallel with your current arrangement where you want the safety margin, then take over fully.

Nothing has to happen on a changeover night, and there is no lock-in to sign before you have seen the quality of a real batch.

Is there a minimum volume or a lock-in period?

No lock-in period and no exit penalty. A laundry contract should be kept by performance, and we would rather find out early if we are not earning it.

For very small volumes we quote a minimum per collection rather than a minimum per month, because it is usually the cheaper structure for the client. Ask and we will show you both.
